語るように歌うマックルモアは、ゲイという言葉が非難する言葉として氾濫している世の中や同性愛が病気などで片づけられる宗教、そういうものを批判し、同性愛者また、人類みんなでいい世の中を築いていこうと叫ぶ。ホックで歌っているのは同性愛者のマリー・ランバート、歌詞には「私は変われない、がんばっても、変わりたくても」とあり、痛切な思いが伝わってくる。製作者の世の中を良くしたい思いがこもっている。歌詞をじっくり読んで、考えてほしい。
